Welcome

Reaching the final of Masterchef 2007 was a rollercoaster of emotion, with huge highs and lows, but I loved every minute and learnt a huge amount. I owe a great deal to John and Gregg who had faith in my ability when I did not believe in myself. Since competing on the programme my life has changed considerably. I now write cookery columns for two magazines, give cookery demonstrations and am just working on my 13th cook book - unlucky number for some but not for me!!! I love all forms of country cooking, using seasonal and locally sourced produce. This blog is to enable me to share with you a few of my recipes and baking ideas. Enjoy Hannah xxxx

I have some exciting news - I have joined the writing team of Country Kitchen magazine (my favourite cookery magazine)! This month's edition has three of my pudding recipes (Toblerone tiramisu, peach and pistachio souffle and ginger treacle tart with stem ginger and clotted cream ice cream). My next article is on decorating cakes - very me - with quince recipes and damson recipes to follow soon!

How exciting Hannah! I Love that magazine and will be sure to buy it next time I see it! What a dream come true! I would so love to be able to write for a magazine, especially about food! It's my long time dream. Mind you I don't even know how to go about getting started! Anyways, way to go girl!

Well done Hannah! You're on your way to publishing that cookbook. Makes my cooking look very basic.

Congratulations... you're in print whoo hoo well done indeed!!! That's the first step on the road to your own book and then maybe even your own cookery program (Nigella step aside - Hannah's on her way up).

By the way; I just ADORE that pink top you're wearing in the magazine article - it's to die for. May I be so bold as to ask you where you bought it? (I find it hard to find beautiful clothes in my size).

Thanks kindly,

Beth

Hi

Congratulations.

It really is a joy to see how being on Masterchef really can change your life!

Any chance you will be coming to Borough market to sell your wonderful cakes....?

Excellent, thanks Hannah - I will pop in there and have a look at the tops today. I don't think I've been in Monsoon since my size 12 days of looooong ago; I didn't think they even went over a 14 in those days (and I'm ummm a teeny tiny bit over a 14 now!!) Thank God they've come to their voluptuous senses!!

Thanks again,

Beth

I'm still waiting for my newsagent to deliver the June copy but peaked at it in WH Smith today and saw you as I flicked through. I recognized you straight away so shall go and ask just what happened to the one he should have sent! Those raspberry and white chocolate profiteroles sound wonderful - oddly enough I haven't noticed them in the Slimming World recipe books:):)
