Welcome

Reaching the final of Masterchef 2007 was a rollercoaster of emotion, with huge highs and lows, but I loved every minute and learnt a huge amount. I owe a great deal to John and Gregg who had faith in my ability when I did not believe in myself. Since competing on the programme my life has changed considerably. I now write cookery columns for two magazines, give cookery demonstrations and am just working on my 13th cook book - unlucky number for some but not for me!!! I love all forms of country cooking, using seasonal and locally sourced produce. This blog is to enable me to share with you a few of my recipes and baking ideas. Enjoy Hannah xxxx

5 Things you probably don't know about me

I have been tagged by Julia of www.asliceofcherrypie.blogspot.com for this meme so here you go:

1. I was President of the Winnie the Pooh Society at University and am a fine pooh stick player

2. I am allergic to white wine which is rather tragic

3. Reeses peanut butter cups are my all time favourite chocolate

4. I drive a blue and white nissan figaro (see photo)

5. I belong to our village sewing circle ("Stitch and Bitch") and sew a lot when I have time!

I tag my fellow Masterchefers:

I LOVE Winnie the Pooh! I also like cross stitch, so we seem to have quite a bit in common. You have my deepest sympathies over the wine :-(

We love alot of the same things! I have been an avid cross stitcher for many years! Where can you get Peanut Butter Cups over here? I have been missing those from home! Have a lovely weekend!

Woolworths sometimes have them and there is a shop in Milton Keynes shopping centre which sells american food products - including all the reeses range! yum yum!

Hi hannah,
I really enjoyed watching masterchef this year, especially the fantastic final week, so it was great to find your food blog!
Hooray for stitch and bitch! I go to Bristol's new SnB when I can, although embroidery's more my thing than knitting.
I'd love to have a figaro, but I don't think I could handle the automatic gearbox.
