Three translations of my gluten free book have arrived - if I had to guess I think they are Italian, Dutch and Swedish (or Norwegian).  Linguistic blog readers - feel free to correct me!  Very cool to see my recipes in words I can't even read!

  1. "Glutenvrij bakken" is dutch!!

Are there plans to translate the cupcake- and cakepopbook as well?

My children (and I) would love it!

  2. I think the one starting with Leivo is Finnish!

  3. I have the English version. I love it. It's wonderful to have access to a variety of yummy gluten free treats instead of being tethered to the boxes of gluten free mixes that are available.I do have a question for you Hannah. I also have a tree nut sensitivity and alot of your recipes call for nuts. If I just leave them out what type of adjustments, if any, do I need to make to the recipe?

  4. I purchased the English version in the US during the Thanksgiving holiday. I purchased it because you did not use rice flour (trying to diversify the grains) and the puff pastry recipe! I tried the recipe, but had difficulty navigating the most important part: folding the pastry so that the layers appear. Is it possible to clarify the process? Or, post a video? Love the book.

  5. Jomykje - my mini cake books and woopie pie books have been translated into dutch - hope that helps!

Shellseakr and Lenora - if you drop me an email hannah@material-change.com I will try my best to help you both with answers to your questions. Easier by email than using the comments!

Thanks Eva-L for identifying the Finnish one for me!

  6. Hello Hannanh. I excitedly bought this book to bake for my 8 year old son with aspergers, only to find out when I got home that most of the recipes are almond based and he has a nut allergy. I tried leaving out the nuts but it was a disaster. Is there anything I can use as a substitute ? many thanks
