Welcome

Reaching the final of Masterchef 2007 was a rollercoaster of emotion, with huge highs and lows, but I loved every minute and learnt a huge amount. I owe a great deal to John and Gregg who had faith in my ability when I did not believe in myself. Since competing on the programme my life has changed considerably. I now write cookery columns for two magazines, give cookery demonstrations and am just working on my 13th cook book - unlucky number for some but not for me!!! I love all forms of country cooking, using seasonal and locally sourced produce. This blog is to enable me to share with you a few of my recipes and baking ideas. Enjoy Hannah xxxx

This weeks Hello Magazine has a Christmas food supplement which features two of my books - 10 whole pages of recipes written by me! How super lovely is that. They even describe me as a "Baking expert" - what an honour!

Hi Hannah,

I bought your gluten free book a few days ago, and made my first recipe from it today (choc chip cookies).

They were really delicious, and the first tasty homemade gf cookies I've had in years. I think the almond meal really improves the taste and texture compared to other recipes.

The use of commercially available flour blends makes the recipes realistic for a quick Friday afterschool treat for the kids.

Thanks!
from Sydney, Australia.

P.S. I had watched Masterchef, and read your blog but bought your book without realising it was the same Hannah. What a lovely surprise!

Firstly - thanks for your lovely post from Syndey, Australia - it amazes me to think that my little book is on sale so far away. I am so glad you liked the cookie recipes and hope that you enjoy the rest of the book

Thanks too Sadie for your lovely comments as always - hope you are well and have a lovely weekend
