So this was Rosie's butterfly birthday cake - very quick and simple but she liked it! The white chocolate malteser antennae were popular and it got me thinking that you could make lots of these and serve them stuck in half an orange like old fashioned cheese and pineapple as a sweet canape with no effort or cooking at all!!

Your cake is lovely. I know you mentioned how both your parents are artists who draw and paint. That you wish you had their talent but you so do you just do with food.
ReplyDeleteShell is right. You create beautiful things with your dishes.
ReplyDeleteI like to look at the pictures of your creations and drool....
Freddie is very keen on the butterfly cake and says HELLO!
This is beautiful. I's like to think I could create something similar for my daughters 2nd birthday - but I think I'll leave it to my mother-in law1!
ReplyDeletePretty cake Hannah. You are so clever with the malteser antennas! It will be a fun idea to stick it in something... orange, apple, cupcake or something.
ReplyDeleteI am doing the cupcake wedding cake for this weekend. A bit stuck with the little cake for the top tier. The bridegroom needs a dairy free cake... and icing. I am putting a cream cheese icing on the chocolate cupcakes with fresh blueberries and silver balls. Inspiration... inpiration is what I need. :)
What a beautiful cake Hannah! I think it's just wonderful and so ARTISTIC! There!
