Welcome

Reaching the final of Masterchef 2007 was a rollercoaster of emotion, with huge highs and lows, but I loved every minute and learnt a huge amount. I owe a great deal to John and Gregg who had faith in my ability when I did not believe in myself. Since competing on the programme my life has changed considerably. I now write cookery columns for two magazines, give cookery demonstrations and am just working on my 13th cook book - unlucky number for some but not for me!!! I love all forms of country cooking, using seasonal and locally sourced produce. This blog is to enable me to share with you a few of my recipes and baking ideas. Enjoy Hannah xxxx

My parents were both art teachers. Dad is now an art examiner and gets to travel to places such as Thailand and Kenya to mark A level art exams at international schools. My mum now works with children who are deaf and blind. Both are hugely artistic. Sadly the drawing gene did not pass my way - everything I draw invariably looks like a stick man. My dad popped over at the weekend to bring me a lovely present - a picture of my old hen Dora with the peacock in our garden that he had made with his new printing press. He has done the picture in two colour ways and the dilemma is I now have to choose between them and decide which one to keep. At the moment, I am favouring the yellow one as Dora is the main feature in the picture and it looks really like her. It also looks lovely hanging in my office! The red one however matches the colour of our dinning room and would look very nice hanging in there! Decision, decisions....help needed! At this rate, I will have to keep both! Thank you Dad xxx

Hannah,

There is no question about it, keep them both. Dead simple solution ;-)

Enjoy

I would say go with your first instinct. :) Or take them both and change them around every 6 months. :)

You are not artistic???

Both it is! They are lovely.

And I agree...you are extremely artistic, you just work in a different medium.

Ohhhh....what a hard choice to have to make! How lovely that your parents are so talented. It's not hard to see that their daughter has inherited some of their creative genes!
