It is such a colourful time of year and the fields around our home are filled with yellow rape flowers which smell of honey as you drive by. A sure sign that summer is on its way!
I live here in Suffolk which they call "Rapeseed County" everywhere you look you can just see miles of yellow carpet; stunning to look at. The only downside is that as they are a member of the cabbage family the pleasent "honey" smell turns to the reek of boiled cabbage within a few weeks of flowering ... mmmm lovely hehe.
