Although it might be odd to be stitching Christmas projects in March I have decided that this year I am going to be more organised. Every year I stitch a small christmas gift for one of our neighbours - I know that they mean a lot to her - and every year without fail, I finish stitching it on Christmas eve in a mad rush. This year I decided things would be different and I have now finished her Christmas present - with 9 months to spare!! Luckily she does not have a computer so will not see this until December 25th but
I thought I would share this jolly little beaded Santa with you! I am quite tempted to stitch another one for myself.
Go for it Hannah! I used to love cross stitching and using beads. I wish I had more time as I sure miss doing it these days! Your Santa is lovely. I am sure your neighbour will adore it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Santa! Where did you get the chart from? Well done for being so organised too.
ReplyDeleteHe's lovely! I'm sure your neighbour will be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet Hannah!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely ... and you're right, Christmas always goes so much better the years that things are done in advance - I have to admit I've never started in March, but stitching is such a lovely wintery occupation, and there's never any time in Nov/Dec
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, the jumper I've just started for my husband my well end up being his Christmas present ;)

What pattern is that I would love to stitch it myself.

Hi Rebecca, Julie
ReplyDeleteIt is the Mill Hill Holly and Ivy Santa kit - it comes with perforated paper but I substituted some 32ct linen - http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=25277&ww=on&do=search_results
Hope you enjoy stitching it as much as i did.
Joanne - I hope you will post a pic of the jumper when it is finished on your blog!!!
Thanks Marie, Rita adn Ample Cook for your lovely comments - hope you are all well
