Welcome

Reaching the final of Masterchef 2007 was a rollercoaster of emotion, with huge highs and lows, but I loved every minute and learnt a huge amount. I owe a great deal to John and Gregg who had faith in my ability when I did not believe in myself. Since competing on the programme my life has changed considerably. I now write cookery columns for two magazines, give cookery demonstrations and am just working on my 13th cook book - unlucky number for some but not for me!!! I love all forms of country cooking, using seasonal and locally sourced produce. This blog is to enable me to share with you a few of my recipes and baking ideas. Enjoy Hannah xxxx

Masterchef - The Heats

Last week saw my heat in Masterchef with the wonderful Clare and Bree (opposite) and I cooking at the Fish Market Restaurant in London. I can safely say it was one of the most stressful days of my life - I now have a complete understanding of the phrase "If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen!" It was so great to spend time with Bree and Clare - two fellow foodies who share my love of cooking.

Hi Hannah - really enjoying your blog, what fabulously decorated cakes! And am currently enjoying watching you cooking for the Michelin starred chefs on Masterchef as well - well done! Scary stuff...

Wow! Just finished watching the Masterchef final... talk about tense! Didn't expect your own personal blog to pop up when doing a Google search, though.

I hope that, although you didn't win, you'll still try to open up a country restaurant with your mother (or whatever your current aspirations may be). Either way, watching you on Masterchef has been a treat and I wish you luck on your future ventures. From: a fellow foodie.

I am so upset you didn't win the Masterchef, but I think you are amazing. I can't wait for your Cookery Book on Hannah's Cakes & Puddings to come out..... soon I hope. You have given everybody hope and inspiration. I wish you well in whatever you decide to do. Hopefully, a restaurant and your first cookery book.

Hello Hannah, really sad that you didn't win. You should be very proud of yourself. Masterchef must be the most fantastic/nerve wracking thing that anyone could put themselves through! Your cooking has inspired me, I hope all your plans come to fruitian.
With very best wishes for the future.

Hi Hannah, love your blog, just saw the final of masterchef, my heart was in my throat for most of it, I can`t possible imagine how you must have been feeling at time. I`m really sorry you didn't win, we were all rooting for you. Please do go for your dream and open up a restaurant I would absolutely love to visit and taste you food you cook. I wish you all the best in your future, hopefully we'll all be seeing and hearing a lot more of you.

Hannah, just finished watching 2007 master chef. Living in rural australia, it's any wonder. Bad luck with the lamb,(Shit Happens). Great effort by yourself and the boys. Love to read your book when or if it's released in Australia. My only wish is to be able to cook a 1/4 as good as yourself. All the best for the future and dreams do come true!
